Gaband was born from a belief that the most extraordinary travel experiences are not found in a brochure. They are designed, carefully, personally, from scratch, by people who know the destinations intimately and who take the time to understand the traveller before planning a single step of their journey.
We are a luxury travel specialist focused on two of the world’s most coveted travel regions: the African continent, from South Africa’s Cape to East Africa’s great plains, and the Indian Ocean Islands – Mauritius, the Seychelles, Réunion, Madagascar, and beyond. These destinations are not simply places we arrange travel to. They are places we know, places we love, and places we return to.
What makes Gaband different is threefold: we work seamlessly in both English and French, allowing for a natural and personal connection with each client; we hold deep expertise across the Indian Ocean Islands, where this cultural and linguistic understanding adds real value; and every journey we design is handcrafted from scratch, built entirely around the individual, with no preset packages and no off-the-shelf itineraries. This has always been at the heart of how we work.

Valerie
Originally from Belgium and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Valérie has always been deeply connected to travel, cultures, and the beauty of discovering the world through meaningful experiences.
After living in the United States for four years and now calling South Africa home for the past 17 years, her journey naturally led her to creating bespoke travel experiences across Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean islands.
With a personal, hands-on approach, Valérie believes that luxury is not only about where you stay, but about how a journey makes you feel. Each itinerary is thoughtfully curated with authenticity, elegance, and attention to detail, creating experiences that feel deeply personal and unforgettable.
Gabrielle
Originally from Belgium, Gabrielle spent the first ten years of her life in Kinshasa (DRC) before moving to South Africa, where she has lived for the past sixteen years. Having travelled extensively from a young age, she developed a natural curiosity for discovering new places, cultures, and ways of life. Africa, however, has always remained closest to her heart.
With a fresh and intuitive approach to travel, Gabrielle is naturally drawn to places that feel authentic, inspiring, and slightly off the beaten path. She has a talent for uncovering hidden gems and experiences that bring a journey to life in a more personal and unexpected way.
Deeply inspired by atmosphere, aesthetics, and genuine connection, she is passionate about creating journeys that leave lasting memories and a true sense of place long after returning home.
